and are Bound by
Privacy Policy
Michigan's law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist; Information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
This Client/Therapist relationship is confidential and private with the following Exceptions:
Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which Walden's Therapists are required by law, to report to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, Walden's Therapists must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
If a client intends to harm himself or herself, Walden's Therapists will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in insuring their safety. If a client does not cooperate, Walden's Therapists will take further measures, as are provided to them by law and without consent, to insure their safety.
